Look after yourself and your loved ones while living in Bali.
Although living on the island may seem like a never-ending vacation, knowing what to do in certain situations could salvage unfortunate situations that may occur. Unforeseen circumstances are to be expected when traveling and adjusting to a new place, commonly for example are Bali Belly (traveler’s diarrhea) and incidents such as surfing injuries on beach excursions or scooter accidents upon navigating Bali’s roads.
Fortunately, Bali’s medical system is world-class, with air ambulances, bilingual staff, specialized physicians, and emergency rooms. Hospitals have expert medical professionals, however smaller ones and standalone medical centers might have less access to specialists than larger groups.
Remember to:
- Call beforehand and create your appointments prior to arriving
- Bring photo identification like a passport or driver’s license (required in order to be treated in any hospital in Indonesia)
