Sawangan Beach (formerly known as Nikko Beach) is one of the beautiful beaches in Nusa Dua, but as its location is a bit off-beaten track, not many tourists can be found on the beach. Mostly the visitors are only surfers and guests from nearby hotels.
It can be accessed through a little side road next to the current Hilton Hotel. If you go there by car, you will need to walk down a steep ramp to the beach. But if you ride a motorbike, you can bring it down by the shore.
Because the currents are too strong and the waves are too high, the beach’s little public section is inappropriate for swimming.
Sawangan Beach, on the other hand, is worth a visit for sunbathing and a fantastic supper of freshly caught fish.
If you stay in Hilton, you can also go for a camel ride by the beach.
